Richard Huish Students to Celebrate English Language Day

For the second year running, students at Taunton’s premier sixth-form college will celebrate English Language Day with a demanding competition to test the abilities of its English Language A-Level students.  Last year contestants were challenged to come up with as many commonly used sporting phrases as they could in a short time.  The winners, who came up with 30 phrases, won cash prizes and got their pictures into the local paper.

This year, organiser Marcus Barrett is going to do it again but is keeping tight-lipped about the rules.  In a few days, we’ll let you know what happened ... and who the 2012 winners are!
